成立于2018年, 365平台的地平线 is part of a national ne两个rk of academic enrichment 项目, which aim to advance educational equity by building long-term partnerships with students, 家庭, 社区, 和 schools to create experiences that inspire the joy of learning.
 
Rooted in Westminster's long-st和ing commitment to our neighbors in Hartford, 365平台的地平线 makes an eight-year commitment to our students, supporting them with year-round programming in Grades K through 8. 每年夏天, students attend our six-week summer program, 重点是阅读, 数学, 科学, 解决问题, 和 real-world application of knowledge. 的y also build confidence 和 character while learning how to swim, 跳舞, play golf 和 participate in many other extracurricular enrichments.

Westminster students make a huge impact on our Horizons students during our summer program 和 many volunteer to tutor our students during our weekly trips to Moylan, 我们在哈特福德的合作学校. We also receive tremendous support from Westminster’s 教师 和 工作人员, as well as 父母 和校友 who donate their time 和/or resources to support our program.

每个月, members of the Westminster community travel to Hartford to help prepare 和 serve lunch at 面包和鱼, a soup kitchen dedicated to addressing food insecurity in the Asylum Hill neighborhood. 这样的旅行, 对学生开放, 教师, 工作人员, 父母, 和校友, have a direct impact on both the volunteers 和 the Hartford residents who access the soup kitchen.

    第三, the 演讲写作和公众演讲 course seeks to provide Westminster students with the actual experience of preparing  delivering a speech by asking each student to participate in a public speaking contest. This contest both revives an old Westminster tradition 和 thus affirms the idea that public speaking is a fundamental tenet of the educational process.
